Have you found a “place” to go for an online Shabbat experience? If you are not affiliated with a synagogue that is offering services online consider joining Rabbi Bridget Wynne of Jewish Gateways any Friday evening at 6pm. I’ve visited her service. It is only about 30 minutes but provides all the blessings and a bit of Shabbat socializing. Take a look. You can always sign off if it is not your cup of tea. Here’s how Rabbi Bridget describes the service:
Join Rabbi Bridget and the Jewish Gateways community to welcome Shabbat with singing, blessings, and friendly faces!
We’ll gather at 6:00pm. Set up your candles, wine or juice, and challah, or whatever you have.
There will be a chance to participate in the Kaddish, or memorial prayer, for anyone you are remembering.
The words to the songs and blessings will be visible during our gathering.
All are welcome, and no experience is necessary.
Access the service using this Zoom link or call Jewish Gateways if you have questions at (510) 545-9977.
