If YOU ask me, I’ll try to make it happen

If a member of my email list asks me to share an event I will do everything I can to do so. Here are a couple of additions that you may be able to attend.

First, a lovely woman with a fascinating story is deeply involved in her Danville synagogue, Beth Chaim. She emailed me that there are many interfaith couples and she wants to welcome them to events there. If you are near Danville and would like to enjoy a festive, shared Hanukkah event go to the Community Chanukah Celebration at Blackhawk Plaza.

Communal Chanukah Celebration at Blackhawk Plaza
Come join Beth Chaim for a fun filled evening of celebrations and see how we roll! No RSVP required.

Date:   Friday, Dec. 23
Time:   5:00 pm
Place:   Blackhawk Plaza, Danville
Hosted by Beth Chaim, 1800 Holbrook Dr., Danville
Call the synagogue if you have questions at 925-736-7146.

Second, a woman in an interfaith marriage who works at Wornick Jewish Day School in Foster City asked me to share an upcoming activity for parents with preschoolers. She always hopes to draw more interfaith couples to her school.

Science Fun for Little Ones and Families
Join us for a morning of science fun! We are planning to have this event outdoors.  There will be hands-on activities for 3-5 year olds, and a baby corner hosted by Jewish Baby Network.

Date:   Sunday, January 8, 2023
Time:   10:00 – 11:30am
Place:   Wornick Jewish Day School, 800 Foster City Blvd., Foster City
Advanced registration required by Wednesday, January 4 at 12 noon.   Register here
Co-sponsored by PJ Library and Jewish Baby Network

If your synagogue or Jewish organization is offering an activity that is perfect for interfaith couples and families, please bring it to my attention.

While I’m at it I’ll share another recipe for Bimuelos that PJ Library has online.

Happy Whatever-you-celebrate. Pay attention to each other and bust out the love!
