Yom Hashoah Observances around the Bay

Sunday, May 5 is Yom HaShoah, Remembrance Day for the Holocaust. In this time of spiking anti-Semitism it is especially painful to concentrate on the desire to destroy all Jews. Perhaps you can only light a candle at home, perhaps you are afraid to be in a group of Jews – that is human and understandable. If you choose to join the community and commemorate the 6 million killed in the Shoah there are community gathering all around. You can easily join one of the online observances.

In Contra Costa county the gathering is at B’nai Shalom, Sunday, May 5, 3:30 – 5:30pm
In Alameda county there is a gathering in Oakland at Temple Beth Abraham, May 5, 7:30 -9pm
